My Kids Have Been With A Babysitter For 1 Week Now

My kids LOVE their new babysitter! Her name is Brandi & she has 3 kids of her own. She is only $400 a month TOTAL for both kids! She said she looked around at how ridiculous babysitting costs and she picked that price. She has a nice home. Benjamin says, "Are we going to Brownie's house?" LOL! He hasn't caught on that her name is Brandi LOL. Amelia just loves it there too & is so excited to be going to the babysitter's house! Amelia says, "Babysitter NICE!" Awww so cute! Benjamin also loves that they have a trampoline! I like that he can have things that we can't provide for him...it's nice. Our babysitter has a worksheet she gives us on each kid and what they ate that day or if they said they weren't hungry etc. She also writes what projects & things they learned that day on the sheet, and we get pictures they colored etc. Today Amelia stayed home because she had a rough night last night. I am not sure if she got sick from not having a coat on yesterday or if it's from something else...but her nose was running & she had a cough. So I kept her home with Chris. I didn't want to risk getting Brandi's baby sick (newborn) When I got home from work I came to get Amelia so that we could go get Benjamin. She kept going on & on about going to the babysitter's house. I explained to her that we were just picking up Benjamin. I was so worried that she would throw a fit when she realized we were gonna be 2 seconds there. She did good. She was so excited that she still got to see them & she was just so happy. I am so happy that Chris found Brandi! I was so worried we would have to pay $1250 a month! We talked about when we have good months (if that happens...) that we would do a bonus for Brandi (just random) because she is so cheap. Oh & there was an incident on their 1st day there...Benjamin told me that Brandi's boy hit him & Ben said, "I don't know why he hits me." And I asked Benjamin what his mommy did & he said, "She put him in time out." I knew then that she was good. I explained to Benjamin that when people hit it's because they don't have control over their emotions & they may have people being mean to them & so they take it out on others...he seemed to understand. I am glad that we had that chance to talk about it. I actually like our chats in the car on the way home everyday. It's fun to hear about their day!
