Feeling Great About My Job

I just want to start out by thanking my parents for teaching me work ethic and hard work comes a long way at a young age ;o).

We had a pretty scary AR meeting a couple of weeks ago and there was mention of if things don't get better might have to make some changes in the department. I felt I do ok, but at the same time I had doubts. Feelings of I definitely need to do better. They announced a bonus that they want to make attainable and I really hope I do well enough to get it. It would be great to receive it due to us buying a house...

So I have worked really hard calling people and making sure I know what is going on with my accounts I am to call.

Well today I got a complaint resolution back from Reed, president of the company, and he put to give an account to a different rep and to have the new rep up sell this one customer who took over another person's business. Did that make sense? Haha! And I had been trying to contact the business that was bought (because it it one of my alphas) and the person no longer works at this # I have and also there is no way to contact him. I actually just sent a letter to his home asking for his info. Anyway I left a voicemail for Reed asking why this account was given to this other rep and what happens to the rep that had it before? So when Reed called he asked me to add onto this complaint resolution that the commission the 1st sales rep had stays the same and the other rep who is getting the account is to only get commission from the up sale amount. Reed also said that the new owner has worked with this one sales rep before and he asked for him specifically (I added that on to the form too).

So Reed calls me back and he tells me that he really appreciates the fact that I care and he liked that I actually read his notes and questioned about that. He said he forgets about commissions and things like that. He also told me that he knows I work really hard and that I am always on the phone. He said he appreciates that I understand the importance of getting people to pay their bills so that a company can survive. He said in the meeting he appreciated my attentivness and the fact that I was really gung ho about the things they asked of us. He said when he was talking about everything wrong he said he wasn't talking to me at all. He said he knows I do a great job and I am a good person. I let Reed know that I felt like maybe I hadn't been doing my best and so I understood and that I have tried harder on calling people.

I was ontop of the world after this conversation and just felt really great that he thinks so highly of me! Anyway I wanted to share this before I forgot!!
