My Kids & Rearranging Words to Songs....

We start our bedtime routine after bath by singing, "Jesus Came to John the Baptist..." The kids LOVE that song. We have been reading our scriptures every night and before we read them we sing, "Scripture Power!" And then we read a section. We are in 1st Nephi right now and I told the kids how Lehi started to prophecy...and we started to sing, "FOLLOW THE PROPHET!" Then when we are done with that we sing, "Reverently Quietly." Then we say our prayers. Anyway the last couple of days Amelia will break into song & sing, "Jesus CAME to John the Baptist in Judea Long AGO...mino mino mino mino flo....and she gets the 1st half so clear & right then by the end she trails off, but still has the tune down great! I am impressed for her still being 2! So today in the car we were singing that song OVER & OVER again. Love that they love that song! Then I broke out in, "FOLLOW THE PROPHET FOLLOW THE PROPHET FOLLOW THE PROPHET DON'T GO ASTRAY....FOLLOW THE PROPHET FOLLOW THE PROPHET FOLLOW THE PROPHET HE KNOWS THE WAY!" And Benjamin changed the words on me. He sang the song & then at the end he sings, "I KNOW THE WAY!" LOL So cute! Then he went as far as singing (in his low voice...) "Follow ME! Follow ME! Follow ME! Don't go astray.... Follow ME! Follow ME! Follow ME...I know the way!" He cracks me up! Then Amelia sings Following the Leader...and the kids always fight over who will get to lead (mainly Benjamin) and I told Benjamin that anyone can be a leader. He tells me today, "Only BIG brothers get to be leaders...not little sisters...." I then repeated myself & told him, "yes anyone can be a leader even little sisters!" He doesn't believe me. Maybe someday I can convince him ;o).
