I Now Do AR!

I got a text yesterday from a co-worker asking if Quinn (the boss) had talked to me. I told her in a text back that he probably wouldn't talk to me until August for the listings manager job I wanted. Then she text back, "No you are going to AR!" WHAT?? So the rest of the day I was nervous and didn't know what to expect...so I prepared my list of what I should be paid on. 5:00 rolls around & Seth (the other boss) calls me into his office with Tara (the girl who is leaving) and asks if I want to do AR (accounts receivable). I told him I wanted the listings job and he let me know there wasn't anything in that department. So I told him I would take the AR job! There were 2 other girls that wanted it, but I had seniority plus I asked 1st to be moved from the department we were in. Seth also told me that Vicky (AR boss) wanted me to be in AR. So I had a feel good day ;o). Well sort of haha! I had to give everything to Jenni (the girl taking my sales rep over) and it was a whirlwind! Seth also told me what I would be making & it is more than I have ever made in my life so I am happy with that! I am looking forward to having a set pay & not worry if I am making $12 or $8 in the pay period... I stayed at work until 7 PM cleaning my desk up & preparing for the next day! Seth told me to drop EVERYTHING that I had worked on & give it all to Jenni. I couldn't call on anything else even though the customer asked me to call him in the morning. I cheated this morning & still called haha (he wasn't in). Last night before I went to bed I remembered a few accounts that I didn't include on the ones that I should have been paid on. So I was stressin' and when I came in this morning I saw Kevin (my old sales rep) and told him how I forgot those accounts & he let me know that I SHOULD put them on my list so I could be paid for them. I really left Jenni hardly anything left to work on, so I feel bad. Today in AR I learned how to deposit checks, send "love letters" to clients past due, how to post payments, and how to call people. I just hope I can get all of this before Tara leaves on Friday! I actually feel like I will catch on real quickly & so I am really looking forward to doing this job. It has a lot of things that I LOVE to do! Data entry is one of them! ;o) Well I need to take the kids to a potluck at the church! ;o)
