The Gold Car Got Crashed Into Today!

Ben says, "What's gonna happen to the gold car?? I'm gonna miss it!"

I had my glucose doctor appt today and so I took the black car and went early (6:20 AM!) and found out I didn't need to be there until 8 AM haha!

Well about 8:35 AM Chris calls me and tells me he got into an accident! Sure enough at the road I knew something bad would happen...I have seen more accidents at that intersection than I have ever seen (at least 5 in the 4 months we have lived here...)! Indiana and Homedale. There is a high school one block up from that road, but there is always school buses and traffic galore and people get impatient. Indiana is a 50 MPH road and Homedale there is a 2 way stop sign. Because there is so much traffic my thought is whoever stops 1st gets to go 1st. Otherwise you would have to wait FOREVER to turn left. I want to write a letter to the city and tell them I want a light at that intersection! I actually stopped taking that way because it's so irritating to have to wait to go and the way I go now I am always moving... Anyway Chris turned left and this guy totally plowed into him (the guy was going straight.) I say that Chris was in the right because the guy, if the guy had paid attention, would have seen that Chris was clearly in the intersection 1st. The passenger door was trashed. Chris even said the cop told him he thought the other guy was at fault. Chris thought the gold car would be able to drive, but when he got back in to take the kids to Christine's he said the car wasn't fine. The steering was so bad. So he had a tow truck pick it up and he got a rental car (covered under insurance.). We also have gap insurance so if the estimate comes back and it is totaled the amount we owe on the car will be covered. Amelia told me that she hit her head and I asked her what she hit it on and she said, "The car..." She said it all upbeat & happy haha! Chris said neither kid cried or screamed... Chris ended up taking the kids to the doctor today just to make sure they were ok because Amelia said she hit her head. We didn't see any marks and Christine watched her to make sure she was ok. Every time she asked Amelia if she felt ok Amelia would say, "Yes!" The doctor said they were fine. Chris has tingling in his back on the left and so he will be going to a chiropractor tomorrow. Thank goodness I wasn't in the car because the impact was on my side!
