Met My New Doctor Today!

I went to see Dr Archibald today and he & his nurse are so cool! The nurse was figuring out our due date and I mentioned that our last doctor only went 4 days before the due date for the scheduled c-section and the water broke 6 days before...The old doctor's words were, "I only do my surgeries on Mondays..." Anyway Dr Archibald's nurse said, "Wow wouldn't that be nice to have one set day to do surgeries...however in baby world you never know when they will make their entrance so it's really about their time not ours." I like this lady! ;o) So we said May 26th was the measured due date and she looked at a calender and marked May 19th. She said, "Yeah we can go a week early..." YAY ;o)
When we told her about the ultrasound and how the doctor that looked at it mentioned the bowels she said sometimes it can be a shadow or something else...she said to not worry about it that when they check again things are usually fine. The doctor confirmed the same thing and mentioned some of the things it could have been showing up. But he said he couldn't say for sure until they saw the results from St Als.
We asked him if it was ok to travel in March because I want to go to my sister's 40th birthday party in Vegas this year. She REALLY wants me to go and I love that my sister and I are best buds! I miss her a lot :*o( So we are going to plan on going no matter what ;o) Gonna have to find someone to watch the kids.
I also asked the doctor about Clam dip because I CRAVED it (which to me is really weird haha) and he asked how often I ate it and I told him only a couple of days...he said I was fine!
The doctor casually asked, "So do you want me to tie your tubes after this one?" I was in complete SHOCK...usually doctors want you to wait until you are 40 in case you decide later to have more. I let him know we will have to think about it. Part of me wants 4, but then part of me thinks that I am not capable of handling that many kids haha. It will take a lot of praying (and part of me wants another boy...but you never know what you will get so if we had another and it was a girl well Ben will have to be the only boy ;o)).
Chris asked the doctor about the hernia and if they could fix it and the doctor said that he wouldn't normally, but maybe if I was done having kids that he could connect the muscles together, but that it would hurt more and longer recovery....ugh. The doctor also felt my tummy (where it bulges out) and said, "Do you have a fibrosis on your Overy (or uterus haha I can't remember what he said exactly)." I let him know I didn't know...he said they will be able to see when they do the c-section, but that it felt like I had one.
I also let him know about my concern with how my mom had endometrial cancer and how I am a lot like her. He said because she has had it I am at higher risk.
He seemed really thorough and he was so nice! He kept asking me if I had any more questions and he seemed like he wanted to be there and listen to what we had to say. Not like some that would just want to get through the check-up. He listened to the baby's heart and said it sounded good. I am really glad we changed doctors I think I will really like this one! He even specializes in surgery. I liked that about him.

On a side note the kids are learning how to write and recognize their letters. They learned "I" today. Christine has both kids doing it and they are starting to write well. YAY for a great daycare person!! I really like Christine! She teaches our kids GREAT manners too! The other day Amelia says at dinner, "Thank you for making dinner mommy!" Awww I just melted!
