Have You Ever Thought of Losing Your Spouse?

I wrote this post back in December, but I just watched Extreme Home Makeover The Girard Family & cried my eyes out! The 1st born son & his dad were so close so it made me think of Chris & Ben...But yeah they lost their home to fire & then 2 days later the dad took his kids swimming at a local swimming hole & he had his little girl (I think she was 6) on his shoulders & he drowned...the youngest boy yelled for his big brother & his brother dove in & saved his sister & went to save his dad & never came up...and the mom said that she was sure God knew they had to go together...and what made me cry the most was the little girl that was on her dad's shoulders thought it was her fault that her dad died...you could see the sadness in her eyes! Made me bawl!!! So here is the original post below & I added pics from over the years of Chris with the kids...:

I just got done watching Extreme Makeover Home Edition & it really hit home :o(. I cried through the whole thing! It was the Nickless family. Watching how much the boys loved their dad & all the cool things that they did together made me think about my kids & how they love Chris so much! Anytime we go out they have to have daddy get them. They want daddy to hold their hand. They "want daddy to do it...?" Makes me feel unloved sometimes, but on the nights where Chris isn't home & he is at work the kids are great for me. When he is home they walk all over him. "Daddy I need to go potty" (every 2 min), "Daddy I want a drink of water..." (every min), "Daddy I want the door open..." They don't pull that with me, but they do with Daddy! They love him so much & he is so good with them. Patient & kind. He really adores the kids! On occasion as he goes off to work nights & deliver pizza to people I worry. I mean what if he gets into an accident or someone pulls a gun to steal the pizza? I don't like to think like that, but sometimes I do and I don't even know what I would tell my children if it did happen. :o( It makes me cry to imagine their loss! My loss. So after watching Extreme Home I thought I would write this & put the question out there. What would you do? I also wanted to post this & put the pictures I have gotten of Chris with the kids. You can see the love! I LOVE YOU CHRIS!
