"Don't Get A Lot Of Gas..."

I went out with the kids last night & we went to Ihop together. I took them by myself because Chris had to work. Anyways our waiter was super nice, but overly...like hanging out & asking how our day was (like 3 times) and then just practically sitting down with us. Anyway after that I told Ben that we needed to go get gas in the car & he says, "Don't get too much gas mommy..." and I was like, "Why?" And he said, "So you don't speed for the cops to get you." I was like, "oh so if I get a lot of gas that means I will speed?" And he said, "Yeah!" So I got out to get gas & I washed the windows while filling up & it filled up all the way for only $20! Shocking & I had to look twice to see if the price was correct ;o)! Then I got back in the car & Benjamin very disappointedly says, "MOMMY! You got too much gas!" I was like, "Opps!" :os I told him that I wasn't going to speed & to not worry about it. Chris tells me that Ben always says cops are bad & pull mommy over...haha! I got pulled over a month ago when I was driving in Meridian & I didn't know the speed limit...right when I thought, "hmm I wonder what the speed limit is..." a cop flips his lights & pulls me over. I was like, "GREAT!" I haven't had a ticket in over 8 years. So he asked me for my license & registration & I wasn't sure what the registration looked like LOL! And I ended up getting it out & got it for him right away. He left to go run my stuff & as I sat there crying I noticed the song on the kid's cd was playing, "Officer Patrick's a good friend...policing the streets of our town..." He comes back really quick & hands me my stuff & as a tear rolled down my cheek he says to me, "There was a sign back there past the corner, just watch for the signs. You can go." NO TICKET! I cried even harder & just thanked my lucky stars! I think the kid's song helped & the fact I was dressed up & had 2 little ones in the back I didn't look like a trouble maker ;o). I am thankful for Officer Patrick that's for sure. Ben, however, got a different vibe from him & always says cops are bad cause they pull mommy over & make her cry. LOL! So yeah don't get too much gas everyone cause the cops will get you for speeding... haha! ;o)
