Has anyone seen this movie? Iron Jawed Angels! It is AMAZING! I went over to a lady's home that goes to my church & she had invited all women to attend, to watch it. I wanted to go so I asked if there would be babysitting...and a nice lady said (in sign language...she can hear, but is mute) that her daughters would do it. So I made a point to go. I got there a half hour late because my mom called me an hour before I was going to go that they would be in town that night!!! So I got crazy cleaning my house & crying about the house's (apartment's) condition....so I did as much as I could & we left. When we got there I got the kids comfortable with the babysitters & then I went upstairs to watch the movie. Oh man I am so glad that I saw this one!! The 1st thing I liked were the people in the movie. Hilary Swank, Patrick Dempsey, Anjelica Houston, etc! People I enjoy watching in movies & I can relate to ;o). Then the music was current day music (sarah Mcglaughlin!!) I love Sarah's music.
This movie was amazing! I have never known much of the Women's Suffrage, other than there was some protesting and women finally got to vote sometime early 1900s. This movie changed all that...
It showed the struggles they went through just to be able to vote in this country. So I post this to encourage all women & men to watch this movie and because it is getting close to the election & would encourage ALL to vote! (McCain/Palin ;o)).
Oh & my parents only came to visit for a half hour & I kept my kids up. I am glad I did cause they enjoyed climbing all over my parents (especially my dad). Then my sister called me yesterday to tell me my dad was in the hospital! He thought he was having a heart attack, but they said it wasn't his heart & that on road trips he should take more care...but also they did a lot of test on him & they found a lump on his pancreas 2 inches big. Not sure if it is cancer or a cyst or benign all together. I hope it is ok & he will be fine! I am just so thankful they stopped to see us! I don't know what I would do if he died & I wasn't able to see him!! I hope all is well with him!

Birdy, with your urging, I will definitely keep my eyes open for this one!
I'll keep your dad in my thoughts, because he is TRULY such a sweetheart. I would cry if something happened to him too!
I have to see this movie now, holy cow, when they are forcing her to, I guess, "eat" the egg, I totally wanted to scream. How crazy the differences in our world today and the way we can take them for granted. CRAZY!! Love ya, Bird!!
